ISCC PLUS certification ensures the traceability of the sustainable material flow along the entire value chain. Every link in the chain up to the production of the final product is certified (chain-of-custody certification), so that the product can be declared as sustainably certified to the end consumer.
The mass balance principle
Certified sustainable raw materials are introduced into the production process and represented by so-called "sustainable units". These units are recorded in the "mass balance" and can be moved in the production chain. The number of sustainable units is documented and is used in the communication about the product. The certification confirms that a certain amount of sustainable units has been used in the product or in the manufacturing process.

How does it work?
Our raw material producers use a percentage of alternative monomers not based on crude oil or natural gas in their manufacturing process. For example, new monomers are recovered from old polymers. We can offer you this percentage of the raw materials produced from them for your project - from 25%, 50%, 75% to 100% product share.
