PE pipes can have ovalities due to external influences. However, these are often not desired during electrofusion welding, as they make insertion into the electrofusion socket difficult or impossible. Conventional round pressing devices require a great deal of force and must be used in combination with a separate holding device. This is complicated and strenuous.
